These vessels were, in fact, very similiar to the Grom class destroyers, only with small changes. They were planned to built in Warsztaty Portowe Marynarki Wojennej in Gdynia, with some help from the shipyard Samuel White (Cowes). Before the war only some materials were gathered, and the ironplates from Huragan and Orkan were used to build armoured train Smok Kaszubski. Both vessels were presumable to be completed on V.1942 - Huragan, and I.1943 - Orkan. |
